Numerous citizens and visitors of Banja Luka enjoyed performances by Letu Štuke and Konstrakta and Zemlja Gruva, which marked Europe Day and the European Night of Museums in Banja Luka. The concert Always in the Heart of Europe is part of the Europe Day celebration program in Bosnia and Herzegovina, organised by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina and numerous local partners.

“It is wonderful to celebrate Europe Day in Banja Luka especially as for the first time Bosnia and Herzegovina marks this important day as a candidate country. I am glad we are celebrating Europe Day with cultural events, as culture and art bring us together, remind us of our common traditions and heritage, and unite us in our diversity,” said Simone Guerrini, Head of Banja Luka Regional Office of European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the occasion of the European Night of Museums, all visitors to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska had an opportunity until after midnight to see the retrospective exhibition “Tomorrow is Monday” by prominent neo-avant-garde artist Dragoljub Raša Todosijević, which was realised in cooperation with the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vojvodina.

“I am extremely pleased that this year’s European Night of Museums is realised in cooperation with the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year, Museum Night is connected with Europe Day, which celebrates common cultural heritage, solidarity and unity of the peoples of Europe”, emphasized Sarita Vujković, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska.

The European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrates Europe Day 2023 together with citizens across the country, celebrating the diversity of culture, tradition, heritage and common goals for the development and improvement of the quality of life of citizens.
