We need cleaner, cheaper and healthier forms of private and public transport, which is why the renewal of the public transport network is important.
Through the project, implemented by the Government of Sarajevo Canton in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), 15 new, energy efficient trams will be procured, as well as 25 new trolleybuses.
The reconstruction of the tram line, the largest infrastructural project in the Sarajevo Canton in the last 60 years, has recently begun.
The first phase of the project involves the reconstruction of the route Ilidža – Nedžarići, followed by the route from Nedžarići to Remiza.
This project is also financed by the EIB and the EBRD.
