Public call for participating in the activities of raspberries plantations through the EU Floods Recovery Programme

Through its Economic Recovery Component, EU Floods Recovery Programme will award grants to individuals who have sustained property damage as a result of May 20014 floods so as to recover their economic standing in selected municipalities by establishing perennial plantations of raspberries – Meeker and Polka varieties.

Eligible individuals are former or current farmers from the following municipalities Maglaj, Odžak, Domaljevac-Šamac, Orašje, Tuzla, Sanski Most, Živinice, Zenica, Srebrenik, Lukavac, Žepče, Bijeljina, Šamac, Doboj, Prijedor, Banja Luka, Modriča, Laktaši, Srbac, Šekovici, Vukosavlje, Donji Žabar, Čelinac, Brčko.

All beneficiaries will receive the following set for establishing a raspberry plantation:

The package for the production of raspberries on an area of ​​2000 m2 to a maximum of 4000 m2 which includes planting material, package supplemental feeding and protection for the first year of production and irrigation.

All beneficiaries will receive a combination of two varieties (Meeker and Polka) for planting outdoors up to a maximum area of ​​4000 m2 (2000 m2 for each variety). For example, the applicant may opt for 1000 m2 of Meeker and 1000 m2 of Polka variety. The applicant will receive the same area of Meeker and Polka, without a possibility to make different combinations other than 50% of one and 50% of the other variety, in accordance with the available land.

NOTE: The above package for planting raspberries cannot be changed or modified as requested or desired by the applicant.

The applicant is expected to ensure between 2000 m2 and 4000 m2 of arable land to start this production, then a stable source of water, soil preparation for planting, as well as to adhere to professional guidelines and contractual provisions. The applicant will be required to provide supporting poles and wires, manure, and also soil preparation and cleaning and removal of existing vegetation and other preparatory activities before and during planting.

Throughout the process and project duration, the applicant will be provided with professional and technical assistance and training, in accordance with good agricultural practices.

Selected applicant is to sign a contract with UNDP BiH defining his/her rights and obligations with regard to the grant.

The call is open to all individuals who meet the general and additional criteria and are ready to provide the above requested.

Individuals who have already received assistance for commercial agricultural production and production of bread wheat or table eggs, are not eligible to apply for this public call.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
