EU Info Centre presented an exhibition and a competition for young journalists: “Europe for Us”

On July 28, the EU Info Centre in BiH opened a photo exhibition and presented a competition for young journalists, titled  “Europe for Us”.

The exhibition features ten selected projects from throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina implemented with the EU financial support while the competition is intended for all young journalists (aged 18 to 35) from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Renzo Daviddi, said that the projects presented at the exhibition are just few examples of the variety of the EU assistance which was provided in the past 20 years.

“The idea behind the competition  is that we wanted to see how the EU assistance is perceived by young journalists. We are looking forward for their stories and we hope they will demonstrate in a concrete way the impact the EU assistance had on life of BiH citizens,” Daviddi said.

Edin Atlić, Team Leader of the EU Info Centre in BiH, presented the rules of the competition, stressing that the aim is to help young journalists, through written articles, to draw attention to the accession process of BiH to the European Union.

“In this way, we would like to draw the attention of the younger generation of BiH journalists toward the EU accession process, enhance their ability to apply critical thinking and objectiveness in their writing, and encourage them to seek for and produce creative articles about EU assistance,” said Atlić.
