EU Delegation and EUSR in Bosnia and Herzegovina Spokesman Andy McGuffie said:

”A set of detailed information on the judiciary was submitted by BiH authorities on 31 August to the European Commission, as a reply to the request handed over by Commissioner Štefan Füle at the inaugural meeting of the Structured Dialogue in Banja Luka (6-7 June). The technical analysis of this document is ongoing.

”The European Commission and BiH authorities have agreed on the date of the second meeting of the EU-BiH Structured Dialogue on Justice. This will be held on the 10-11 November 2011 in Sarajevo. On the EC side, the meeting will be chaired by Director Pierre Mirel.

”A structured dialogue amongst all relevant domestic stakeholders represents the best possible platform to address issues necessary to the development and entrenchment of an independent, credible, effective, impartial and accountable judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is fundamental for the future integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the EU.”
