Creative energy efficiency in Bosnia and Herzegovina: It is really not difficult

The final conference of the project financed by the European Union “Support to BiH to meet the requirements of the Energy Community Treaty with special focus on EE and RE (DELTER)” was held in Sarajevo today.

The goal of this project, which began in October 2010, was to support BiH in meeting the requirements of the Energy Community Treaty, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency and renewable energy. The EU funded this project from the Instrument for Pre–Accession Assistance (IPA 2007 and 2008 budget) in the amount of 2,500,000.00 EUR. Additionally 400.000 EUR have been made available in the form of supplies from the IPA 2008 budget.

Results of the project were presented at the conference as well as video for the first song educational song in BiH “It is really not difficult” which promotes energy efficiency and calls for rational use of energy. Music and lyrics for the song by the artist from Banja Luka, Djurica Štula, known as Grof Đuraz, while creative video animation and design for CD and DVD was done by the studio “Advertising Promotion Publicity” from Banja Luka. The video will be broadcasted on regional MTV channel.

On this occasion, exhibition on the theme of the rational use of energy “Creative architectural vision for Kindergarten Vitez” by graduate architecture students of the University of Banja Luka was also held.
