The EU is always glad to be the partner of people who are making things happen in the community, so this is a great opportunity for collaboration. I hope that the increasing profile of the Jelen Demofest will encourage bands to take part and will bring out big crowds to enjoy them.”

On the occasion, the director of Jelen Demofest 2013, Brankica Jankovic said: “We have been extremely honoured by the EUSR decision to select Demofest as the only musical festival in BiH to be supported by the EU. Exactly this might be a signal that we are on the right path to create a brand that will be recognizable outside of the former Yugoslavia”, said Mrs Jankovic.

During the second Festival night, the Head of EU Office in Banja Luka, Giulio Zanni, handed the award for “Banja Luka’s most promising band” to the band “Vazno obavjestenje”.
