EU Reportages: Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens urgently need jobs and prosperity

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with the highest unemployment rate (especially among the youth) in the region, low rates of investment and growth, a complicated and non-transparent business climate, challenges posed by corruption and a low level of social support for the less-well-off in society. These are the key issues to be addressed by a coherent and comprehensive economic reform agenda.

A reportage, published by the news web portal oslobodjenje.ba, explores how the EU in BiH is actively engaged in helping Bosnia and Herzegovina to handle the major economic issues, by organising a Forum for Prosperity and Jobs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This event identified, following a wide-ranging and comprehensive debate, the main economic problems in the country.
