Schwarz-Schilling at the Security Council
and in Washington
DC

As you are all aware, the High Representative and EU Special Representative,
Christian Schwarz-Schilling, is currently in New York where he will address the UN Security Council at
10 am local time.

Mr Schwarz-Schilling’s speech will be broadcast live on the United Nations’
web site at
http://www.un.org/webcast/ on Channel 4, starting
at 4
pm our
time.

In his address, the High Representative and EU Special Representative will
provide his analysis of developments and trends in

Bosnia and Herzegovina
since he last addressed the UN
Security Council six months ago.

He will also discuss the status of decertified police and urge the UN
Security Council to resolve this issue.

The High Representative and EU Special Representative will in total be
spending three days in the United
States with meetings in both
New
York and
WashingtonDC.

In New York, Mr
Schwarz-Schilling will have a series of meetings, including with
Jean–Marie Guéhenno, the Under-Secretary-General for
Peacekeeping Operations.

In
Washington
DC
, in addition to meetings with
key individuals at the State Department and National Security Council, including
Daniel Fried, Assistant Secretary for
Europe, Clint
Williamson, Ambassador-at-Large for War Crime Issues, and Judy Ansley, Senior
Director for European Affairs, he will meet with

Paul Wolfowitz, the President of the World
Bank.
