Public Call for Digital Innovation Hubs in BiH: New era of digitalisation of small and medium size enterprises

The EU4DigitalSME project has announced a Public Call for the establishment of three functional Digital Innovation Hubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina to support small and medium size enterprises during the digital transformation, making them competitive, skilled, cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

The Public Call is open to all organisations, institutes and faculties as well as individual applicants and partnerships that wish to become a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH).  As DIHs, they will help companies to become more competitive with regard to their business, products or services using digital technologies and lead the digital transformation of SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The successful applicants will receive training, mentorship and the opportunity to exchange experiences with DIHs in the European Union and other partnership countries, within the tailored sector or topic of the DIHs from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

All interested parties can access the Call via the website https://b2bit.ba/public-call/. The deadline for submission of applications is midnight 28 February 2022.

Applicants will receive technical and financial support, starting with the consultation timeslots from 1 February to 23 February 2022. The consultations will be organised as weekly individual meetings, in English, each Tuesday and Wednesday. Potential applicants can schedule a meeting via the dedicated registration form.

More information on the how-to steps, details on the Application Form and the Guidelines for Applicants is available online in the recording of Info and Q&A webinar held on 26 January 2022.

The EU4DigitalSME project lasts until 2024 and will seek to create a business environment that will support technological transformation and boost digital innovation in small and medium size enterprises, thus helping to mitigate the effect that COVID-19 has had on the economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project is funded by the European Union (5 million euros) and the German Government (1.1 million euros) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
