Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno visited today in Sarajevo the active groups for work with the children with disabilities and developmental difficulties, led by NGO EDUS – Education for all.

On this occasion, Deputy Head Sinno was introduced with the scientific methodology used by EDUS experts in working with children with disabilities. He also met with the parents who launched at the beginning of this school year the campaign “Where is my school?”, with aim to raise the awareness on the need for a better institutional support to the intensive work a programme for children with disabilities and a better systemic solution for their education.

Deputy Head Sinno welcomed the activities and engagement of parents in realisation of the rights of their children. He was also very impressed with such advanced practice as well as the possibility to improve the existing child support system. Sinno expressed hope that the local authorities will recognise this opportunity and provide adequate support, which the EU has already done through projects with UNICEF and UNDP.
