Great atmosphere, music and socialising marked the first day of the 1st Trebević Eko Fest, which gathered a great number of citizens of Sarajevo, Istočno Sarajevo, as well as guests from the region, who had the opportunity to enjoy various daytime activities and workshops, as well as a fantastic evening music programme.

The Office of the EU Special Representative in BiH is a proud sponsor of the first edition of Trebević Eko Fest, an activity which promotes environmental protection and breathes new life into the Lungs of Sarajevo. The festival is organised by the “Trebeco” association, with the city administrations of Istočno Sarajevo and Sarajevo also taking part in implementation, together with their tourist organisations.

On the first day of the festival in the morning and afternoon hours, visitors were able to visit the Eco Bazaar, where a great number of exhibitors were presenting their domestic and eco products, as well as attend a presentation of the EYOF 2019, which acquainted interested visitors with the Winter Youth Olympics and handed out souvenirs. Presentations of sports societies were also organised for sport lovers.

The evening programme at the Trebević – “Brus” centre was enriched by an extraordinary music spectacular of artists from the region, where a great number of visitors enjoyed the performances of the S.A.R.S band from Belgrade, Elemental from Zagreb, Helem nejse from Sarajevo, as well as BABA DJEKS and Friends (Banja Luka – Sarajevo).

The daytime programme of the festival continues today with a workshop of African drums, a paragliding show – precision landing, which is being held at Jahorina due to weather conditions, as well as hiking on Trebević.
