116 landmine victims and their families may count with individual support for start-up businesses and psycho-social assistance. Key partners: World Vision Austria, UDAS, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V, Eco Sport Group, municipal authorities, canton authorities and BH MAC.

Anti-personnel landmines cause suffering and casualties and constitute a serious obstacle to economic development, inhibit the return of refugees and displaced persons, and obstruct humanitarian aid operations, reconstruction and rehabilitation and the restoration of normal social conditions.

The European Union is committed to the goal of total elimination of anti-personnel landmines in BiH and stands for land mine victims and family rights to assistance and rehabilitation.

Since 1996 the European Union has funded projects to the value of €46 million and continues to be one of the largest international donors to the sector in BiH.

Over the last five years the European Union and its Member States have provided political, financial and scientific support to mine action worldwide, amounting to a total of more than € 500 million.
