Regional Programme on Local Democracy in the Western Balkans (ReLOaD) is announcing Direct call for applications to local governments that participated in Reinforcement of Local Democracy Project (LOD) implemented in the 2009-2016 period in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), to submit application for participation in the ReLOaD project. Within this Call, minimum of 10 local governments will be offered support in further development of financial mechanisms for disbursement of funds for financing civil society organizations (CSO).
The ReLOaD is financed by European Union and implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in six countries of the region: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo *(This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence) and Serbia.
The project started on 1 February 2017 and for the next three years its goal will be to strengthen partnerships between local governments and civil society in the Western Balkans by scaling-up a successful model of transparent and project-based civil society organizations funding from the local government budgets in accordance to local needs. The total value of the ReLOaD Project is 10 million EUR, 8.5 million EUR financed by the European Union and 1.5 million EUR by UNDP and partner local governments.
Submission of application and deadlines:
Local governments are to submit their applications with accompanied documents, in one printed and one electronic copy (CD or USB) via mail, or personally, until 17 May 2017 by 17:00 hours, at the following address:
