Creative Europe programme opportunities presented to media representatives and cultural workers in Banja Luka and Sarajevo

The EU Info Centre in BiH and Creative Europe Desk in BiH hosted a presentation and a discussion for media representatives and cultural workers on the EU programme ‘Creative Europe’ in two BiH cities.

The participants were introduced with the programme, its specific calls, and the rules for writing a successful application during the events organised at the premises of the Contemporary Art Museum of Republika Srpska, on 24 April, and the EU Info Centre in BiH, on 25 April.

Zoran Galić, Head of MEDIA sub-programmme at the Creative Europe Desk in BiH, noted that the event was intended for future applicants in the cultural sector.

A large number of media representatives attended the presentation as well as others who were interested in participating in the programme, who will, I hope, apply to the programme in the future. The participants also had an opportunity to find out more about the rules of writing project applications, possible issues, and the relationship between project partners”, Galić said.

Mladen Banjac, a coordinator of the Touch the Art project and a curator of the Contemporary Art Museum of Republika Srpska, highlighted that he was positively surprised by the interest in the event. “The event was a great success, and I am sure that we have comunicated a clear message to engage as many people in the culture sector as possible”, Banjac concluded.

Head of Creative Europe Desk in BiH, Aida Kalender stated that a new cycle of applications within the  Creative Europe programme starts in 2017. “In May, we expect to announce the first call for literary translation, while the call for cultural cooperation projects within the sub-programme CULTURE will be published in October this year,” Kalender concluded.
