Students of the German Federal University of Applied Administration Sciences visit EUD/EUSR

The EU Delegation and EU Special Representative Office in BiH hosted a group of German police and customs officers from the Departmental Branch of the Federal Police at the Federal University of Applied Administration Sciences in Bruhl on 25 October. The visit of 11 officers is part of the study tour arranged with the objective to learn about the legal, administrative and political set-up in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The officers discussed the police reform, border management, asylum and migration issues, international police cooperation, police data exchange, and the role of the EUSR/EUD in the context of rule of law and security. They particularly discussed the advantages and challenges of inter-agency cooperation in multi-layered states and suitable reform approaches.

The Head of the EUSR Rule of Law Section, Richard Wood, emphasised that the EUSR is always ready to support and to reach out to the EU Member States institutions and encouraged them to hold similar events in the future.
