EU-funded contest prize for cross-border cooperation research papers launched

The EU-funded multi-beneficiary project ‘Cross-Border Institution Building (CBIB+) Phase II’ has launched a contest to award three prizes for research papers in relation to the cross-border cooperation programmes between beneficiary countries (Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo*, Montenegro and Serbia), financed under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (2007-2013 IPA). In addition to the prize, the three best research papers will be published, on the CBIB+ Phase II project expenses, in a scientific journal in the contestant’s country of establishment and the authors of the papers will be invited to participate in a CBC Regional Consultative Forum, where they will present their research findings.

The deadline for submission of entries is by midnight Central European time on 23 January 2017 as evidenced by the date of dispatch in the email. Any entry submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

*This designation is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.
