A gala reception on the occasion of the Europe Day will be held on Monday, 9 May 2016 starting at 19:30 hrs at the Sarajevo City Hall.

Europe Day is celebrated every year on 9 May to mark the anniversary of the historical ‘Schuman declaration’ that set out the basic principles on which the EU has been built. It is an occasion to celebrate the EU’s achievements – lasting peace, economic cooperation and border-free travel.

Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative, and Bakir Izetbegović, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will officially open the reception with speeches.
