Ambassador Wigemark visits Business Incubator in Ljubuški

The Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark visited the Business Incubator in Ljubuški on 28 November.

Backed by the European Union, the Business Incubator hosts some 20 start-ups and functions as a network of business services through the mentorship programme for prospective entrepreneurs from the West Herzegovina region. Ambassador Wigemark there met with local entrepreneurs and mentors and discussed the local business environment, funding opportunities and networking, as well as their future development plans.

The Incubator was built within the project “Home grown business” worth just over 630.000 euros out of which the EU is providing nearly 500,000 euros. The project aims to build and improve the operational framework for small and medium enterprises through the development of local business infrastructure and services. Over the past 15 years, the EU has provided around 40 million euros for developing and strengthening the small and medium enterprises in BiH.
