Charge d’affaires a.i of the Delegation of the EU to BiH, Dr Renzo Daviddi, today deplored the attack on the properties of Bosniak returnees in Donji Hamzici near Citluk. Dr Daviddi said:

“The EU strongly condemns all acts of violence, especially against vulnerable groups such as returnees. It is the right of returnees to feel safe in their homes, villages and towns and this must be facilitated and respected. We urge the law enforcement agencies concerned to conduct a thorough investigation and apprehend the perpetrators. We will follow this matter closely.

“This attack shows that further efforts are needed to overcome hatred and to restore mutual respect among communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
