The competition for young tourists travelling to the European Union countries titled “My Travel through Europe” is open to young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina. In order to participate in the competition they have to send photos and a short travel report on their trip to the following email address: info@EUIC.ba. The deadline is 30^th September 2015.

In their reports, entrants should try to answer the questions below:

Which European Union countries have you visited?

What was the most interesting part of your visit to the European Union?

What did you learn during this trip?

Did you make friends with someone whilst travelling?

Describe the highlights of your journey through Europe and win the prize of your choice.

RULES FOR SUBMISSIONS AND PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION “MY TRAVEL THROUGH EUROPE”

1. Eligibility to participate in the competition “My Travel Through Europe” is limited to citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina aged 16 to 27 years (born between 01/07/1988 and 30/06/1999);
2. A participant should, by 30^thSeptember 2015, send a short travel story and photos from their trip, describing the most interesting aspects of their travel to the country/countries of the European Union, promoting the values of the European Union and the advantages of travelling and learning about different cultures and people. Only works describing a trip that happened between 2012 and 2015 are eligible;
3. Travel reports should be original works, written in one of the official BiH languages, of 300-1000 words length and submitted in MS Word or similar format;
4. The report must be accompanied by 5 to 10 high quality photographs taken during the trip, and described in the article. Photos should be a minimum resolution of 800×600 pixels;
5. Only works that have not been previously published and have not been entered into previous competitions organized by the EU Info Centre can be submitted to this competition;
6. After 30^thSeptember, the EUIC/EUD Committee will select 12 finalists. The primary selection criteria will be writing style and creativity of the text. The stories and photos of the finalists will be announced through the EU Info Centre’s Facebook page and website. Public voting will be held throughout October 2015, with voting open to all citizens who wish to choose the best works. Finalists determined to be using any form of voter manipulation during the voting process will be disqualified;
7. Prizes will be awarded to the three works with the highest number of votes. Authors of these three works will have the opportunity to choose their prize from the following items: laptop, smartphone, tablet, TV or digital camera, all to a value greater than 500 KM. After the completion of the voting process, the EU Info Centre will offer the winners the choice from these specific items;
8. Each entrant can only submit one piece of work;
9. Applications containing the text and photographs should be sent by email to the addressinfo@euic.ba, with the subject title “My Travel through Europe – (Name and Surname of Participant)” no later than 30^thSeptember 2015. Works received after this date will not be taken into account;
10. Applications must include the author’s full name, date of birth, address and telephone number;
11. All entries automatically become the property of the EU Info Centre. By entering the competition, participants guarantee:
12. That the text and images are the entrant’s original work (or that photographs were created by companions or other persons mentioned in the text);
13. That all personal information is correct;
14. That the participant accepts all the rules listed here.
