Delegation of the European Union to BiH will host Roma Inclusion Seminar: Way Forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina on 4 July

In order to identify ways forward in improving the situation of Roma communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission will organise the Roma Inclusion Seminar: Way Forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, 4 July in Sarajevo.

The aim of the Seminar is to discuss policy priorities and concrete challenges to effectively foster the integration of citizens belonging to the Roma community.

Ms Saliha Dzuderija, Assistant Minister in the BiH Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, and Mr Pierre Mirel, Director for the Western Balkans in the Directorate General for Enlargement of the European Commission will co-chair the Seminar which will bring together representatives of the local authorities, NGOs as well as representatives of the International Community.

Opening remarks will be delivered also by Mr Nedzad Jusic, Chair of the BiH Council of National Minorities, Ms Sanela Besic, President of the Roma Decade Watch, and Mr Andrzej Mirga, Senior Adviser on Roma and Sinti Issues at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights.
