Members of the European Parliament on two-day visit to BiH

A delegation of the European Parliament led by Jelko Kacin, Slovenian Member of the European Parliament, were on a two-day visit to Sarajevo and Srebrenica,  so as to assess the return process in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly return to Srebrenica. The delegation was made up of Neil Parish, Angelika Beer, Erik Meijer and Lady Miloska Nott, President of the Slovenian Fund for Refugees.

On 22 March, the Delegation met with Ambassador Dimitris Kourkoulas, Head of Delegation of the European Commission in BiH; Rear-Admiral Hans-Jochen Witthauer, Commander of EUFOR; Commissioner Brigadier-General Vincenzo Coppola, Head of Mission of EUPM and  Boris Ruge, Head of the Political Department of EUSR.

On 23 March the Delegation visited the Potocari Memorial Centre and met with Mr. Abdurahman Malkić, Mayor of Srebrenica. They also visited surrounding villages which were damaged during the war and which were reconstructed with funding provided by the Slovenian Fund for Refugees.
