Austrian Foreign Affairs Minister Kurz meets with Ambassador Wigemark, HR Inzko, and COMEUFOR Luif in Sarajevo

Federal Minister of Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Mr. Sebastian Kurz, who is visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina met with Head of EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, High Representative Valentin Inzko and the Commander of EUFOR /Althea Major General Johann Luif in the EUDEL in Sarajevo today.

Minister Kurz was briefed about the current situation and discussed potential further progress of Bosnia and Herzegovina in EU integration with his interlocutors. They agreed, that the positive momentum gained by adopting the Written Commitment and the Stabilisation and Association Agreement coming into force should be maintained.

“The next step is clear – agreeing and signing the Reform Agenda. This will enable the country to start implementing urgently-needed socio-economic reforms for the benefit of its citizens, while bringing it closer to the EU at the same time”, Minister Kurz said. His visit is a reiterated sign of Austria’s support to the EU integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
