With regard to a resolution adopted by the SDA party this week, the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU Special Representative Office commented:
“The EU fully respects the current constitutional structure of BiH; this was subscribed to by all constituent peoples. The current Constitution provides for the possibilities to amend it and the procedures are clearly set out – however, this requires consensus of all peoples in the country.
“The main problems facing Bosnia and Herzegovina today are socio-economic in nature, including creating jobs and encouraging economic growth and investment. As agreed by all political parties, building a well-functioning market economy should now be the main focus of our attention. We therefore look forward to the definition in June of an initial agenda for reforms.”
