Signed protocols in the area of integrated control of the BIH state border

Four protocols on implementation related to Agreement on mutual cooperation between institutions involved in the process of integrated control of the state border of Bosnia and Herzegovina were signed in Sarajevo today. Protocols were signed by representatives of the BiH Ministry of Security, BiH Border Police, BiH Service for Foreigners, BiH Indirect Taxation Authority, BiH Veterinary Office, BiH Administration for Plant Health Protection, FBiH Inspection Authority, RS Inspection Authority and Brcko District Government.

Signed protocols regulate professional and technical assistance, joint use of equipment, joint trainings, appointing and duties of officials designated as points of contact as well as organisation of regular meetings.

Protocols were drafted by four working parties at BiH State Commission on Integrated Border Control with participation of the EU experts through twinning project “Support to implementation of the strategy and action plan for integrated border control in BiH”, which is financed by the EU through Instrument of Pre-accession Assistance (IPA 2008)
