Head of EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, accompanied by ambassadors of 13 EU Member States accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina, or their deputies, visited Tuzla today, 24th of May 2012.

The visit was an opportunity for EU representatives to directly contact local authorities in the country, who also have their tasks in relation to EU integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was a chance for Tuzla Canton and City of Tuzla representatives to present their views on various issues.

Ambassador Peter Sorensen had a meetings with Mayor of Tuzla, Mr Jasmin Imamovic, Municipal Assembly Chair, Mr Nada Mladina, and Municpal Assembly Deputy Chair, Mr Jozo Nisandzic, meeting with Tuzla Canton Prime Minister, Mr Sead Causevic, and Tuzla Canton Assembly Speaker, Mr Bajazit Jasarevic

HoD/EUSR Sorensen also meet with students of Tuzla University at the debate on EU integration hosted by the Law Faculty. At the end of his visit Ambassador Peter Sorensen and Dean of Tuzla Law Faculty, Mr Izudin Hasanovic gave a media statement at Tuzla Law Faculty.
