Signature of the “Europe for Citizens” memorandum of understanding

Bosnia and Herzegovina is now an eligible country for the “Europe for Citizens” programme 2007 – 2013. This EUR 215 million programme helps promote understanding between the Union and citizens and assists the development of ideas and activities with a European angle.

The memorandum of understanding on the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the “Europe for Citizens” programme was signed last Friday (20 July) by Gregory Paulger, Director General of the EC’s Directorate General for Communication and Igor Davidović, Head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This means that from that date, civil society organisations, think tanks, municipalities and other eligible organisations from Bosnia and Herzegovina can submit a project for funding or be a partner for a project under this programme.

More information on the programme can be found here.
