Sorensen meets international media representatives

Head of the EU Delegation/European Union Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Peter Sorensen, met today with a group of 14 journalists coming from ten countries, who are in a three-day visit to BiH in order to learn about tourism potential of the country.

Adressing the journalists, Ambassador Sorensen stressed the diversity of the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that the European Union invested three million Euros in the development of the tourism in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past couple of years.

“Currently, the European Union supports development projects of eco zones and cultural heritage with two million Euros, while additional 2.6 million are invested through technical assistance,”  Head of the EU Delegation and EU Special Representative stated.

Journalists will visit Sutjeska National Park, Sarajevo, Trebinje, Mostar and Blagaj, as well as some other places having tourism potential. This visit was organised by the EU funded project “Technical assistance to support tourism in BiH”.
