EU supports Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina

EU funded twinning project “Support to the Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Market Surveillance System” was presented in Sarajevo on 2 November 2012.

The objective of the project is to provide support to the Market Surveillance Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and further develop the Quality Infrastructure and market surveillance system in BiH in line with the provisions of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement.

The main beneficiaries of this twinning project are the BiH Market Surveillance Agency and the other institutions involved in the delivery of the market surveillance system within BiH. These include the Market Inspectorate at the entity and Brcko District levels and with regard to non-food consumer products the border control activities of the BiH Indirect Taxation Authority.

UK and Latvia are Member States partners on this project which is implemented by the Northern Ireland Co-operation Overseas (NI-CO) Ltd.
