Famous actor Danny Glover supports “It’s About Ability” campaign dedicated to children with disabilities

Special guest of this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival, actor and UNICEF’s International Good Will Ambassador Danny Glover, supported the campaign “It’s about ability”, by joining the Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH, Renzo Daviddi, together with UNICEF Representative in BiH, Florence Bauer, and USAID Acting Mission Director, Steven Majors in playing special dodge ball game with children with and without disabilities, organised on Youth Sports Games finals today in Sarajevo.

The peak of the campaign was the football match BiH vs. USA, when children with disabilities, together with their peers from the Youth Sports Games, joined the players in their line-up on the pitch at the Kosevo stadium in front of more than 25,000 spectators.. During their training at the Kosevo stadium in Sarajevo, the US national football team, in co-operation with the USAID and the US Embassy to BiH, hosted more than 40 children, with and without disabilities, coming from the Youth Sports Games and different associations,.

The EU has provided 4.6 mill Euros in assistance to social inclusion and protection of children in BiH and will continue with its support in order to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities and enhance their access to equal opportunities.
