EUSR will support ‘The 2013 Photography of the Year’ Festival, which is being organized for the fourth consecutive year in Bosnia and Herzegovina by the web portal Fotografija.ba. The programme of the festival includes the selection of the best 60 photographs from the Western Balkans region, and organization of educational workshops and seminars.

“We are very pleased that the EU recognizes the importance of our Festival and we hope this cooperation will continue in the years to come”, said Haris Calkic, Director of the Festival.

“The European Union is not only about politics but very much about valuing arts and culture as well, for they are at the core of our common European identity. Therefore, it gives me a great pleasure that the EU is able to support the 2013 Photography of the Year”, said Ambassador Peter Sorensen, Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative.

The winners of the festival will be announced at the official ceremony in Sarajevo on 24 January 2014.
