The European Commission  is  offering  financial support of up to 10,600,000 EUR to NGOs through its Technical Assistance to the Civil Society Organisations 2 (TACSO 2) programme.

The aim is to support beneficiaries to undertake activities such as: policy analysis and advocacy; monitoring of state performance and behaviour, the effectiveness of the civil service; building social capital and enabling citizens to identify and articulate their values, beliefs, civic norms and democratic practices; mobilising various actors to participate more fully in politics and  public affairs.

Participation is open to all legal persons [participating either individually or in a grouping (consortium) of candidates], which are established in a Member State of the European Union or in a country or territory of the regions covered and/or authorised by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed. Participation is also open to international organisations. The participation of natural persons is governed by the specific instruments applicable to the programme under which the contract is financed.

Deadline for receipt of applications is 16:00 CET on 02 April 2013.
