Promotion of the project funded by the EU from second call IPA CBC Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro

Successful projects that will be financed by the EU under IPA Cross-border Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro have been officially promoted today at the Conference in Podgorica. The total amount available under the second call for proposals in the framework of this program is 1.98 million Euro (merging of the financial allocation for the 2009th and 2010th).

After the procedure, eight projects were selected, out of which three projects are in the field of economic development with an emphasis on tourism and rural development, two projects are on improving the environment, primarily for the protection, promotion and disposal of natural resources and three project are on the field of social cohesion and cooperation in the field of culture.

Sixty participants, including representatives of partner organisations and local communities, participated in the Conference. The event was organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Montenegro and European Integration Directorate of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, assisted by the Joint Technical Secretariat of this program.
 
Publication of the third call for proposals under the IPA Cross-border Programme Bosnia – Montenegro is expected in the third quarter of this year.

The general objective of the IPA Cross-border Programme Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro is accelerating sustainable development of border areas, its economic, cultural, natural and human resources.
